Ingredients
- multigrain white bread, 8 slices
- cocktail sausages, 225g/8oz
- butter, 40g/1.5
- carrot and cucumber sticks, to serve.
How to:
- Preheat the oven to 190˚C/375˚F/Gas 5
- On a chopping board, trim the crusts off the bread. Cut into slices that are a little shorter across the width than the length of the cocktail sausages.
- Wrap each piece of bread around a sausage, with the ends of the sausage sticking out. Place on a baking sheet.
- Put the butter or margarine in a pan and heat gently until just melted.
- Brush the melted butter or margarine over the sausage rolls
- Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, until the bread has browned and the sausages are cooked through. Remove them from the oven.
- Cool, then serve with some carrot and/or cucumber sticks or pack in a sealable plastic container to transport.
